Candidates must carefully go through the KVS Selection Process before applying for any KVS Teaching posts like TGT, PGT, or PRT. The three KVS stages for selection are –

  • Written Test: 150 objective-type questions will be asked for all specific Teaching posts for a total of 150 marks. 70% weightage of final merit list marks will be taken from here.
  • Demo Class: It is a performance test of teaching in the respective curriculum as applied. This round carries 15% weightage in overall KVS recruitment process.
  • Interview: This is the final round in the KVS exam pattern. It carries 30 marks and shares 15% weightage with Class Demo stage for final selection. Most KVS Interview questions are based on interpersonal and educational skills.

As you know, candidates must secure their post-wise KVS Cut Off to be eligible to move in further rounds. Notably, candidates’ marks in the written exam are considered to be eligible to apply for TGT/PGT/PRT posts in one of the Central schools of their choice. During this tenure, they take demo classes. Post this, the KVS Interview stage is conducted. While preparing the KVS Result or final merit list, the weightage of the written test & interview will be taken into 70:30 proportion.
